How many type of Thai massage ?

There are 2 types of Thai massage which are classified by method. The first is
Cha-ley-sak massage. The second is Rard –cha-sum-nark massage.

What is deep tissue massage ?

Deep tissue techniques are generally designed for more focused massage work. Working a specific joint ,   muscle or muscle group, the practitioner can access deeper
layers of the soft tissue .  Starting superficially and easing into the depth of the muscle
slowly often allows more movement. If the pressure is applied too deeply or too quickly,
the muscle may tighten to protect that area, and unnecessary damage or inflammation
can be induced.    Very little lubricant is used as the pressure doesn't travel much over
the skin. The most commonly used ' tools  ' during deep tissue massage may include, 3
and 6 fingers, reinforced fingers, knuckles, a flat elbow , opposing thumbs , the heel of
the hand or foot, and t
he forearm.
What Massage Therapists Do in Treating Patients ?

other clinical settings, nursing homes, studios, and sport and fitness facilities. Some also
travel to patients' homes or workplaces to provide a massage.
What is side effects and risks ?

Massage therapy appears to have  few   serious risks if appropriate cautions are followed. A very small number of serious injuries have been reported, and they appear
to have occurred   mostly because cautions were not followed or a massage was given
by a person who was not properly trained .        Health care providers recommend that
patients not have massage therapy if they have one or more of the following conditions

         • Deep vein thrombosis (a blood clot in a deep vein, usually in the legs)
         • A bleeding disorder or taking blood-thinning drugs such as warfarin
         • Damaged blood vessels
         • Weakened bones from osteoporosis, a recent fracture, or cancer

Who Provides Massage Therapy ?

A  person who professionally provides massage  therapy is most often called a
massage therapist who also have massage training . This Backgrounder mainly uses
the term massage therapist.   Most massage therapists learn and practice more than
one type of massage. To learn massage , most therapists attend a school or training program, with a much smaller number training instead with an experienced practitioner.
Many students are already licensed as another type of health care provider, such as a
nurse.
Can oil be used in massage?

Many different types of oils can be used including fractionated  oil  from the flowers
or leaves.Often uses olive oil as a base when used medicinally, or almond oil when used
as a massage oil. Aromatherapy oils can also be mixed with carrier oil.
How often should I get massage ?

Most of us would get massages almost daily if we could afford the time and money .
Many of the effects of massage are cumulative, adding up over time. Most people whowant
to make massage a regular part of their health maintenance will get massages every 1–6
weeks. Others just come in when they have the time.  We never pressure people to come more often than they want – we believe that it is your responsibility to determine your own
needs, and we would never want you to feel guilty for coming less often than we recommend.
For acute problems, like overwork or muscle spasms, you may want to come weekly
or even more often for a series .    If you are in pain, you should always feel more relaxed
after the massage, although the pain may linger a while . The massage itself, especially if deep  ,  can cause some inflammation . It may be a day or 2 for this to subside and you to
feel better.
For chronic problems , general massage may relax you and release the muscular tensions that make it worse . Obviously , massage won’t prevent pain from structural or
neurological causes like herniated disks or diabetic neuropathy from returning.
But when pain causes us to tense muscles,we begin a pain-spasm cycle gets worse and worse. Massage can help break that cycle.  Some of us are trained to work with postural
assessment  to   help you learn more efficient ways of using your body so as to minimize
additional stresses.
